0.1. Welcome to Maestro

Overview

Maestro brings automation under one roof, helping Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) teams design, deploy, and share the tools they build so innovation isn’t trapped in silos or individual workflows. Built for Autodesk® Revit® users, Maestro transforms how firms develop, distribute, and manage automation, bridging the gap between design technology and day-to-day project delivery.

The Platform

Maestro is an AI-powered automation environment that centralizes everything from script creation to enterprise-wide deployment. It integrates seamlessly with Revit and soon will extend its reach into Dynamo deployment, giving firms complete control over their automation ecosystem. Whether your goal is to streamline routine tasks, standardize tools across offices, or empower staff to build their own solutions, Maestro provides the framework to do it all securely, consistently, and at scale.

Core Capabilities

  • Ribbon Manager – Customize Revit with your firm’s tools and scripts organized by discipline, team, or project phase. The Ribbon Manager ensures everyone works with the same curated toolkit, reducing friction and boosting consistency.
  • AI Script Generator + IDE – Maestro’s integrated Python environment and AI-driven script generation let users build and test automations directly inside the platform with no external setup required. Teams can quickly turn ideas into tools that work inside Revit. The free version of Maestro includes a monthly AI generation quota that resets at the first of each month.
  • Tool Deployment and Version Control (Enterprise Only) – Deploy Python and soon Dynamo scripts to your entire team in a single click. Updates roll out automatically, ensuring everyone is using the latest version without IT intervention or manual file copies.
  • Telemetry and Analytics (Enterprise Only) – Track tool usage, identify bottlenecks, and measure ROI with real-time insights. Managers can see what’s working, where time is saved, and how adoption spreads across the organization.
  • Secure Cloud Infrastructure – Maestro’s architecture is built for enterprise deployment, supporting user permissions, and role management.

Target Audience

Maestro was developed for the innovators and technology leaders to help facilitate the sharing of ideas and innovation. It should support the existing workflows that firms utilizing automation are already doing. Maestro aligns with the efforts of. Digital practice teams as well as BIM managers and anyone creating automations for internal use.

Why It Matters

AEC firms waste countless hours recreating the same scripts, hunting for tools, and manually deploying updates. Maestro eliminates that inefficiency by making automation a shared company asset, not an individual one.

With AI-assisted creation, team-wide deployment, and integration across Revit and Dynamo, Maestro helps firms:

  • Accelerate delivery by automating repetitive work.
  • Promote consistency with managed, versioned toolsets.
  • Empower staff to innovate without breaking standards.
  • Gain visibility into how and where automations deliver ROI.

Revit Support

Maestro currently supports Revit 2022 through 2026. Our release cycle targets alignment with Autodesk’s annual Revit releases. However, support for new versions may occasionally lag if unexpected API changes require additional development and testing.

System Requirements

Maestro requires a workstation capable of running the supported versions of Revit, including meeting Autodesk’s hardware and operating system specifications. An active internet connection is required for licensing, updates, and cloud-connected features. Installation must be performed with local administrator privileges.
